The Business Number (BN) is a federal numbering system which is assigned to a business (one business, one number) to deal with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). It is a reference numbering system that replaces the multiple numbers businesses require to deal with the government. It is designed to help businesses reduce costs, increase competitiveness, increase government efficiency, and helps to deliver one-stop service at Business Windows.
