Why I am getting this letter?

You are eligible for a refund and we need more information in order to be able to process your refund.

How I will be refunded?

We will refund you through bank transfers. We will transfer funds to your bank account outside Iran in US dollars (USD) or in Turkish Liras (TRL) only.  Keep in mind that we are unable to transfer funds in Iran due to financial sanctions.

I live in Iran – can you transfer my money into my bank account in Iran?

No. For residents in Iran, due to financial sanctions, we are unable to transfer funds to a bank account in Iran.

Can I use someone else’s bank account for my refund?

Yes, you can. You can provide any friend, relative, representative’s bank account details (in US dollars or Turkish liras) in a country outside Iran to facilitate the processing of your refund.

Can I use a bank account in Euros or other currencies than US dollars or Turkish liras?

No. For any other country outside Iran, Turkey or Canada, you must ensure that you provide a bank account in US$ in order to be able to transfer the funds.

Can I use a bank account in Canada, in Canadian dollars?

If you provide a bank account in Canada, we can transfer the funds in a Canadian dollar bank account. In fact, the transfer will be done in USD and the equivalent will be deposited in Canadian dollars based on the bank’s exchange rate at the time of the transfer.

I live in Iran and I am unable to provide a bank account outside Iran. What will happen?

Please write a letter to us indicating this. Include your full name, date of birth, file number and your contact details, with a copy of this letter.

You will need to come in person to Ankara in Turkey to get a refund. We will contact you with all the details once we have procedures in place.

What do I need to do now?

You must fill out the attached Refund Form.  Pay attention to all the sections. Please make sure you spell out the name of the bank account holder correctly. We will be unable to refund you if the name of the bank account holder is not exactly the same as indicated at the bank.

Failure to complete all sections of the form or failure to provide correct information will create further delays
