Mr. Damitz holds a bachelor/master degree in Business Administration with majors in Corporate Planning, Human Resources and Process Engineering. His corporate background includes Management Information System development, Corporate Planning & Controlling, and serving for 5 years as managing director at Europe’s oldest stock corporation. After immigrating to Canada he became a licensed Real Estate and Business Broker, Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant, and Commissioner of Oath. He also received the Permit by the German Government allowing to provide consultation in Germany about Canadian Immigration matters.

In his career of 25 years as a Canadian Immigration Practitioner, he gained a reputation as a competent Immigration counsel with outstanding expertise in business & skilled worker immigration matters. During this time he literally adjudicated thousands of Business & Skilled Worker immigration assessments. His assistance and advice has been welcomed and requested by foreign Government institutions and immigration practitioner colleagues.

He has been the author of numerous immigration articles for several German-Canadian publications including the largest German print media outside of Germany and some of Germany’s largest newspapers. Also he is frequently interviewed by the media on immigration subjects, and also consistently updated the German-Canadian Society, German-Canadian Congress, Austrian Consulate General, German Embassy and German-Canadian Chamber of Commerce on Immigration issues.

Within his many presentations, some highlights were the presentation of an innovative Entrepreneur program concept on Business Succession as the CAPIC delegate at the ‘Entrepreneur & Investor Immigration Summit’ hosted by ‘The Conference Board of Canada’ (CBoC) in 2016. Or, the presentations on Canadian Immigration as a member of the ‘Leaders’ Roundtable on Immigration’ of the CBoC delegation on their 2017 visit of the German and Swiss Government Immigration Departments in Berlin respectively Bern. Or, the latest one, a presentation on Transnational Regulation of Immigration Investments Consultants at the 2019 Investment Migration Forum in Geneve addressed to executive Government officials of European Union countries and Caribbean states. Also, he participated as a Industry Association representative for more than 16 years at Lobby & Consultation meetings in Ottawa with the Canadian Government and Citizenship & Immigration department executives.

For fourteen years, Mr. Damitz hold executive positions in a number of immigration industry organizations, and helped decisively to shape Canada’s immigration consultant profession. As such he was a founding president of CAPIC (Canada’s largest non-profit professional association for Regulated Immigration Consultants), and a founding senior director of Canada’s regulatory body responsible for Canadian Immigration Consultants, ICCRC (Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council). As the chair of the CAPIC Federal Statute Committee, he was the leading force in successfully lobbying with his team for almost 5 years the Canadian Government, Member of Parliaments and Immigration Department Executives for  allowing in 2019 the profession of Canadian Regulated Immigration Consultants its own legislation, bringing as such consumer protection to an unprecedented high level and completing the process of birth to maturity of this profession within only 20 years.

For his contribution to the immigration Industry, Mr. Damitz received the following awards:

AICC National President Service Award 2004, CAPIC Endeavour Award for Leadership 2007, CAPIC Shepherd’s Award Director Service 2007, CAPIC Pillars Award for Leadership 2010, CAPIC Pillars Award for Leadership 2011, Desjardins Industry Leadership Award 2011, CAPIC Endeavour Award for Leadership 2013, CAPIC, Pillars Award for Leadership 2014, and CAPIC Lifetime Achievement for Outstanding Vision, Leadership, Dedication and Commitment to Excellence 2017.

 Mr. Damitz is a chartered member in good standing with ‘ICCRC’ (Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council), a honorary member of ‘CAPIC’ (Canadian Association of Professional Immigration Consultants), a member of the CAPIC Past President Council, and a past Member of the German-Canadian Chamber of Commerce.
